Everything you require to know on the SRD grant’s SASSA status check, including the payment dates when it may be retrieved. The South African Social Security Agency, or SASSA, releases a schedule for the R350 Social Relief Grant Payment each month. This company has been entrusted with handling the distribution and provision of government support for the exclusive Covid-19 Social Relief benefit. Additionally, they are in charge of those who receive disability and child support grants.
SASSA Status Check
You may verify and get your R350 social grant payment via a variety of methods. See how to use the Moya App to check the SASSA status. Additionally, you can use WhatsApp or SMS on your phone to check your Sassa status.
Payment via Bank Account
The fastest and most convenient way to get grants is probably through your bank account, and you can avoid standing in line at the post office by receiving payments that way. According to the grant application, the applicant will receive payments each month into their bank account. Please be aware that in order to ensure that payments are made to the proper parties, the bank account information or mobile number provided for payment MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE NAME OF THE APPROVED APPLICANT USED IN THE Covid-19 R350 GRANTS PROCESS.
Payment Collection
People can pick up their grant money from the SAPO/Post Bank branches of the Post Office, Pick-N-Pay, or Boxer retailers if they don’t have any banking information. A bank mobile money transfer is another possibility (cash send option). Only after receiving a notice SMS confirming payment has been confirmed will you be able to pick up the grant money. The SRD Grant Payment Dates for this week are listed in the table below.
What is my SASSA Status is Pending?
Unfortunately, a lot of people cannot get the R350 because their Sassa status simply shows as “pending” when they check it online. The following statement was been made public by the official SASSA on June 1, 2024:
Payments for the upcoming COVID-19 SRD grant cycle, which begins in April 2024, will start to be made around the middle of June 2024.
As soon as the bank information is validated, SASSA will proceed with settling the remaining payments from the prior cycle. The payments will be made monthly rather than all at once. No one will get a payment in excess of one in a given month, even if more than one is made. Until the backlog is cleared, SASSA will make these several payments each month. Then, monthly payments will resume.
After SASSA Status Check, What is the R350 Reconsideration Process?
They evaluate the applicants’ personal information and financial situation once more to make sure they are vulnerable people during the reconsideration procedure. Reconsideration requests are now being processed slowly because communication with banks and financial institutions is taking longer than expected. Keep in mind that you cannot be getting any other government support for your COVID-19 response in order to be eligible for the grant.
How do I have my R350 Grant reconsidered?
You should take the following actions to challenge your R350 grant status if you find that your Covid-19 SRD R350 grant application status is “Reapplication Pending”:
1. Please visit the SRD website at https://srd.sassa.gov.za.
2. The “Application for Reconsideration” tab should be selected.
3. Choose “Click here to apply for reconsideration” after that.
4. Please provide your phone number and ID number.
5. Finish the remaining steps to request a review of your payment.
When does the SASSA R350 Grant End?
According to President Cyril Ramaphosa, the Covid-19 R350 government stipend and grant payments would be continued for another year, till March 2024. This was disclosed on February 10 during the State of the Nation Address (SONA) in Cape Town. It is intended that the Relief of Distress Grant would continue to assist South Africa’s most vulnerable citizens. The stipend should be viewed as a short-term aid package and a chance to assist recipients in exploring alternative career paths. For any new SASSA Application, review the rules.
