Doctoral Scholarships in sexual and reproductive rights in Africa

Financial aids are available at the center for human rights, Faculty of Law, as Doctoral scholarships for research in sexual and reproductive rights in the African region. This is exclusive to students with a knowledge of the African human rights system. Candidates will live in Pretoria for three years while putting in 25 hours of work weekly at the center for human rights. Interested candidates must submit a sample of their writing on sexual and reproductive rights during application.

Sustainable Development Scholarships

For this scholarship, only 12 students are selected annually. However, the sustainable development scholarship’s sole purpose is to assist students studying for a Master’s degree in courses related to energy development in developing countries.


Selected candidates will receive $10,000 yearly for a period of two years.

Fulbright foreign student funding

Fulbright foreign student funding is a donation from the binational Fulbright commission. Every year, 4,000 international students benefit from Fulbright funding. In addition to scholarships, awardees get to conduct academic research in the United States.

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), an international body that works together with the government, policymakers, and citizens to improve the quality of education, sponsors this scholarship.
